Back Renault plans more products for Indian market Our Bureau New Delhi, Nov. 9 Renault announced plans to expand its product portfolio in India. Mr Carlos Ghosn, CEO of the Renault Nissan alliance, said on Monday, “Renault is not it in India to sell one specific product. We will have many more products for India, a market we consider to be very important.” Mr Ghosn was speaking at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum’s India Economic Summit. He said that Renault is going study the market before bringing out new products. “We started Logan with Mahindra & Mahindra to learn about the Indian market and to see what products are best for the country. It is a constant learning and correction process with our partners.” The new products from the French car maker will share platforms and engines with Japan’s Nissan Motor Company. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu Business Line |
