Back Hitachi solutions for casting ind

Tokyo-based Hitachi has entered into a partnership with Bangalore-based casting simulation solutions provider ProSim R&D to provide advanced design simulation solution for the casting industry. Through this partnership, Hitachi, through its subsidiary Ibaraki Hitachi Information Service Co, brings to India its computer simulation technology (Adstefan) that hopes to serve over 5,000 small and medium casting companies in India to cater to various industries - from automobile, power plants to aerospace and defence. The technology, which costs between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 45 lakh, promises to bring down defect rates in the casting process, improve quality and save on costs.
