Back VST Ind into SAP consultancy

VST Industries Ltd has set up a separate division to offer consultancy for the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and SAP. “SAP is a niche area and VST gathered considerable business process knowledge over a period of time which can be shared with others. We have started offering consultancy six months ago,” Mr Ratnakar Nemani, Chief Information Officer and Head of SAP Practice, VST Industries, told newspersons on the sidelines of a SAP confer ence on SMEs here on Tuesday.

At present VST has two customers, Hindustan Sanitary Ware and Priya Foods under its IT and consultancy division. ``We could get them from majors like IBM and Wipro. The customer base will be expanded soon,” he said. The Hyderabad-based company, whose core business is cigarette manufacturing, is currently talking to some oil, construction and cement companies for offering SAP consultancy, Mr Nemani said
