‘Invite Nano project to near Madurai’

The Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the Chief Minister to invite Mr Ratan Tata to set up the Nano car project near Madurai.

The Chamber Senior President, Mr S. Rethinavelu, in a statement here, pointed out that despite being an industrially vibrant State, development has not been uniform throughout and the southern districts continued to languish in industrial growth. The Madurai Airport is slated to commence international service and the extension of runway would facilitate landing of Jumbo Jet cargo aircraft that can carry automobiles.
