Back Deccan launches copter service Our Bureau Bangalore, July 1 Deccan Aviation has launched the country’s first helicopter limo service to ferry passengers from the city to the airport and back. Deccan Aviation Managing Director, Capt G.R. Gopinath, told newspersons after the service was launched by the Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr B.S. Yediyurappa, that a similar service will be launched in Hyderabad and Mumbai in another six months at an investment of $12 million. The service called `Deccan Skylimo’ will have three helipads from three places in Bangalore, including Infosys Technologies campus and will cost between Rs 4,800 and Rs 5,800 a passenger each way. The company has deployed two five seater helicopters, each costing around $4 million.
