Chennai, May 23 The Rs 500-crore Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Co Ltd is planning to expand its Café Coffee Day retail outlets to over 900 from the present 590.

Currently, each outlet registers 500 walk-ins a day on an average, said Ms Bidisha Nagaraj, President (Marketing), Café Coffee Day.

The proposed growth will happen over a year through various existing and new formats. Coffee Day is present in formats such as small takeaway counters in petrol stations (It has tie-ups with HPCL and BPCL), Internet cafés and airport lounges.

“We are now planning to take café deliverables to the next level by introducing various new formats including full-fledged restaurants. We are focussing more on expanding our network to tier-II and tier-III cities too,” she said.
