Back UK luggage brand Antler in India

Mumbai, April 18

The Rs 110-crore Safari Industries has entered into a marketing tie-up with Antler, the UK-based luggage maker. Antler would be pitted against the Samsonite brand in the Indian market. Mr Amul Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director, Safari Industries, said, “Today the premium luggage market is growing at 35 per cent and with Antler we would be competing against the Samsonite brand, which has re-defined premium luggage in this country.” Pegged in the prices range between Rs 4,695 and Rs 12,000, the Antler brand would be available in 125 outlets apart from 45 exclusive outlets dedicated to the brand. Antler would offer travel goods such as roller cases, trolley, laptop cases, casual bags, totes and messenger bags from its classic and couture collection.
