"The market was short of Rs 40,000 crore. The long holidays and the mutual fund redemptions have affected the market sentiment," said a dealer at a private bank. The total traded volumes on the order matching system were at Rs 2,395 crore (Rs 2,990 crore). The 7.99 per cent-9 year-2017 paper opened at Rs 102.64 (7.59 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 102.32 (7.63 per cent YTM), against the previous close of Rs 102.63 (7.58 per cent).
