Back MindTree’s new DVR product platform Bangalore, Jan. 10 MindTree Consulting, a global IT and R&D Services company, and Analog Devices (ADI) have announced the availability of a DVR product platform based on Analog Devices’ Blackfin processor. According to a press release, “By leveraging the performance, flexibility and scalability of Blackfin, MindTree delivers a licensable DVR (digital video recorder) platform designed specifically for the surveillance market, enabling customers to get their products to market faster.” The system is expandable up to 16 cameras with simultaneous recording, streaming and playback. “With increasing security vulnerabilities, DVRs for the current and future surveillance demands need software intensive algorithms and much more intelligence to be effective,” said Mr Mike Haider, product line director, General Purpose DSP, Analog Devices. “The DVR product platform from MindTree addresses this as it combines the power of Blackfin with MindTree’s end-to-end product development capabilities.” The MindTree DVR product platform is a futuristic surveillance solution that provides high performance processing to accommodate complex algorithms for compression, motion detection, object tracking and analytics, said the release.
