Back Patni acquires UK co’s IP

Chennai, Oct. 10 Patni Computer Systems Ltd has informed the BSE that the company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Patni Computer Systems Inc, has entered into an agreement with UK-based Carphone Warehouse Ltd to acquire the worldwide rights to its proprietary intellectual property that enables communication service providers to offer customer management, retail point-of-sale and billing services for a variety of products and services. The company intends to use this intellectual property for the purposes of software licensing, provision of reusable IP-led IT services, managed services and provision of hosted or software-as-a-service solutions. -
