Back Finnish Tourist Board ties up with Raj Travel

New Delhi, Sept. 11 The Finnish Tourist Board has tied up with Raj Travel World to offer holiday packages to Finland, beginning this December.

The Board, along with Raj Travel, has launched two holiday packages from December to March.

While the eight-day tour is priced at Rs 1.55 lakh , the six-day tour will cost Rs 1.36 lakh per adult on a twin sharing basis.

“We see a rise of about 45 per cent every month in the number of Indians travelling to Finland and we hope to promote winter tourism among Indians,” the Finnish Tourist Board Regional Manager, Mr Sven Hansen, told reporters today.

Service providers

For the holiday packages, Raj Travel has tied-up with service providers in Helsinki, Kemi, Rovaniemi, and would offer slew of activities such as snow-mobile safari, skiing, sledge rides and ice-cruises in Finnish cities of Lapland and Rovaniemi.

“In the first year, we are expecting around 300 visitors to avail the package. Apart from high networth individuals, we are also in the process of approaching few corporate houses with this package,” Mr Lalit Sheth, Chairman and Managing Director, Raj Travel World, said.

Travel loans

Tourists have the option of availing themselves of travel loans offered by State Bank of India with whom the company has a collaboration, he said.
