Back Zensar setting up centres of excellence in China

Tying up with academia in Hubei Province

Pune, Sept. 4 Zensar Technologies Ltd will help set up Centres of Excellence on the campuses of 33 academic institutions in China’s Hubei Province.

A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed today with a 13-member Chinese delegation that visited the company’s headquarters at Kharadi, Pune.

Mr Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Zensar Technologies, said: “After the success of our Global Delivery Platform enabled technology collaboration in universities in India, Essex and Sydney, we are pleased to extend this programme to Hubei, increasing our global footprint, and reiterating our commitment to China.”

Dr Chun Ming Li, Vice-Governor, Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China, said: “We are extremely pleased that Zensar has come forward to partner with the academia in Hubei Province on such a large scale. We are certain that this will provide our students an edge over their global counterparts and enhance the quality of IT education in the Province.”

“In Hubei Province, there are eight top universities and 25 second level universities, and 18 of these universities are strong at IT major. If we could introduce the software practice course for the students, it will increase their hands on practicing skill, which is adding value to their career,” Dr Li added.

Mr V. Balasubramanian, Head, Innovation Technology Solutions Business, Zensar, said: “Through our collaborative technology solutions, the Hubei students will have the privilege of learning and practicing in a simulated ‘live’ environment. They would have an opportunity to interact with global talent pools from the comfort of their own campuses. We will enable the students to hone their project delivery skills. On completing each project cycle, they will be tested for competence and successful candidates will be awarded certificates by the respective institutions.”
