Firm price trend: A farmer tending his cotton crop along with his family near Chandur in Nalgonda district, Andhra Pradesh. A record of over 90 lakh hectares have been brought under cotton this year as its prices are ruling high. The coming year, too, is likely to witness firm prices, according to the International Cotton Advisory Council.–
