Back Carborundum to buy IVP unit

Carborundum Universal Ltd has entered into a business purchase agreement with IVP Ltd to acquire its industrial ceramics division, as a going concern. The deal is expected to conclude shortly, according to a release. The ceramics division, located at Aurangabad, manufactures a range of high alumina engineered ceramic products like ignitors, seals, thread guides and nozzles with technology from Feldmuhle Germany. The plant has annual capacity to produce about Rs 12 crore worth of the above products. Carborundum would bring to this business its market access, scale of operations and management.
