Back AP call centre on housing scheme
Our Bureau Hyderabad, Aug. 14 The Andhra Pradesh Government will launch a toll-free call centre for addressing the problems of Indiramma Housing beneficiaries on August 16. “The call centre, christened as ‘Indiramma Parishkaram’, will be of great help to solve problems pertaining to the housing scheme,” Mr B. Satyanarayana, Minister of Housing, Andhra Pradesh Government, told newspersons here on Tuesday. TOLL-FREE NUMBER
All the eligible people who had not received the benefit of Indiramma Housing programme could make a representation to the Government by calling on 1100, he said. “In addition, complaints pertaining to the delays in bill payments and corruption could also be brought to the notice of the Housing Department. All the complaints received would be attended to in about seven days from date of complaint,” Mr Satyanarayana said. Progress
On the progress of the project, he said about 41 per cent of the total project had been completed as on August 11. “A total of over 24.5 lakh houses are to be constructed in urban and rural areas. We are on the track to complete them in time,” he said. Second phase
The second phase would begin from September 1, he added. The State Government had also issued an order renaming the Kukatpally Housing Board colony here (Asia’s biggest housing colony) as Rajiv Gandhi Housing Board colony, he said.
