Back Asian Paints Q1 net rises 27%

Mumbai, July 30 Asian Paints Ltd has announced an increase of 27 per cent in net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 to Rs 74 crore against Rs 58 crore for the same period last year.

The turnover rose by 22 per cent to Rs 740 crore against Rs 603 crore. The total income rose by 22 per cent to Rs 748 crore (Rs 609 crore).
