Back ‘Indians top in Java code testing list’

Preethi J

Bangalore, July 13 Indians are at the top of the list of Java developers flocking to test their code at Agitar’s Web site Junitfactory.com.

The site, launched earlier this year, invites programmers to send in their code and get it tested to see if it works. Called unit testing, the concept being propagated by Agitar involves testing small bits of code right at the development stage, instead of at the fag end of the project lifecycle.

“It is being used by students, professional coders, hobbyists who write programs for personal use at home, and want to see how well they work,” said Mr Vishnu Raned, Country Manager, Agitar Software India.

The site was set up as an experiment and is free for use. It requires the open source integrated development environment Eclipse.
