Hyderabad April 18 Greenpeace, a non-governmental organisation for environment protection, has launched a `Million Signatures' campaign to ban the yellow light bulb here on Wednesday. According to Mr Bidhan Chandra Singh, Campaigner, Greenpeace, the programme was launched simultaneously in eight major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and Pune. "As a first step towards energy efficiency and fighting climate-change, the yellow bulb needs to be banned," he said. Large number of people, including eco and animal rights activist Ms Amala Akkineni and upcoming actress Manya, had signed on the petition.
