Back Uranium Chair instituted

A Uranium Chair has been instituted at ISM University, Dhanbad, for which the Department of Atomic Energy has contributed Rs 1 crore. Besides imparting education and training to undergraduate and postgraduate students and carrying out activities related to teaching and research, the new Chair will assist the department's Uranium Corporation of India Ltd, the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration & Research and the Atomic Energy Commission in various types of research related to exploration and exploitation of uranium deposits and underground disposal of radio-active substances.
