FOCUS AREAS
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Prof Rao said research activity would look into areas like bio-informatics, nano technologies and defence-related issues. Though it would take two years to have its own campus in a five-acre plot, the institute would start functioning immediately at a facility provided by the HCU. The institute, which would have a corpus of Rs 50 crore, would offer doctoral and post-doctoral studies, besides hosting lectures and short-term courses.
