Back Areva T&D tech for NTPC project

New Delhi Jan. 22 Areva T&D has announced the implementation of a 765 kV ultra mega switchyard technology at NTPC's Sipat project.

The two companies have partnered to implement the technology at the power station located in Chhattisgarh, the company said in a release.

Power generated at this plant will be evacuated at 765 kV level through two single circuit transmission lines, it said, adding that for the first time in the country such technologies are being deployed.

The project is completed two months ahead of its schedule, it added.
