Back `Digital Kerala 2006' released

The Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Achuthanandan, today released `Digital Kerala 2006', a directory of ICT initiatives in Kerala. The book, published by the Kerala State IT Mission, has information on the various ICT initiatives of the State Government. The Chief Minister released the book soon after unveiling the draft IT policy for Kerala.

Mr Achuthanandan said the State Government would take a decision on the proposed Smart City project in Kochi in the next two-three weeks. The proposed project, which involves the Dubai Internet City, envisages the creation of a special economic zone in Kochi for the IT industry. Some more discussions on the project are currently on, he added.
