Back Big retail outlets

Though, at first, it may appear that opening of several retail outlets by Wal-Mart, Reliance Industries, etc., are in the interests of consumers, in the long run it may not be. Consumers will be tempted to spend on items they may not require, encouraging, in the process, overspending. This will be a drain on the economy. The impact of such retail outlets in other developing countries must be studied.
