Back Shell opens outlet in Hyderabad Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Dec. 6 Shell India Marketing Pvt Ltd on Wednesday announced the opening of its first retail fuel station in Hyderabad at Habsiguda and plans many more in the city and in South India. A subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell group, Shell India has acquired marketing licence to set up a network of 2,000 fuel retail outlets in the country. The company has about 21 outlets in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, and this is its first outlet in Andhra Pradesh. It plans to add three more outlets in Hyderabad within three months. With an initial focus on South India the company later plans to spread to Gujarat and Maharashtra. The Chairman, Shell India, Mr Vikram Singh Mehta, in a statement said, "We have a long-term commitment to the Indian market and are working to serve customers across the country as quickly as possible through new retail outlets." As part of road safety promotion efforts, Shell will distribute 20 motorcycle helmets and 20 first-aid safety kits to customers at the Habsiguda retail station here.
