Back Blood test kits case

Ghanashyam Sarda, prime accused in the case pertaining to supply of defective blood test kits to blood banks, and former Managing Director of Monozyme India Ltd, the company involved, filed an application of bail before the Calcutta High Court.

A Division Bench of Justice Mr P.N. Sinha and Justice Mr P.S. Dutta will hear the matter on Friday.

Mr Sarda was arrested on October 26, at Calcutta Airport when he was trying to board a New Delhi-bound flight, using a fictitious name. He was produced before the Court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate and remanded in Police custody. He faces charges of forgery, cheating and violation of provisions of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act.
