Back Agri woes
This is with reference to "A failure on the farm" (Business Line, September 15): The article has elaborated on the long list of farm woes. However, the Chinese lessons are inappropriate for a variety of ecological, socio-politico-economic reasons. The rising social tensions accompanied by wider rural-urban differentials in China cannot be the strategic choice for Indian agriculture. J.
