The Minister for Health, Mr Anbumani Ramadoss, with the Minister of State for Commerce, Mr Jairam Ramesh, releasing the fifth volume of `The Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India' at Red Cross Society in the Capital on Monday.

The Ayurveda Pharmocopoeia consists of 93 monographs of Ayurvedic single drugs used in different formulations.

The book is a guide to maintain quality of Ayurvedic products and provide a baseline for scientists who want to know about different single drugs used in Ayurveda.

Ayurveda Pharmocopoeia Committee comprising experts of various interrelated fields and different laboratories engaged in research work has standardised these drugs.
